FOCUS TRAVEL GROUP: 25 YEARS OF EXPLORATION, INSPIRATION, AND CONNECTION
[KHANH HOA – 10/05/2025] From a travel agency in its early days, Focus Travel has, after 25 years of development, become one of the pioneering companies in expanding Vietnam’s luxury tourism ecosystem.
On the evening of May 10, 2025, Focus Travel Group held its 25th Anniversary Celebration in Nha Trang and officially announced three major strategic milestones, marking a new phase of growth for the company in tourism, yachting services, and marina-based hospitality.
25 Years – A Journey of Breakthroughs
In 2000, Mr. Dang Bao Hieu founded Focus Travel after many years working in the tourism industry.
In 2003, Focus became one of the few private companies to obtain an international tour operator license. For 10 consecutive years, from 2003 to 2013, Focus consistently positioned itself as a pioneer in the Russian inbound tourism market, establishing a strong reputation in Vietnam’s tourism sector.
In 2009, Focus Travel launched La Marguerite, the first 5-star cruise ship on the Mekong River. Since then, the company and its partners have introduced new, world-class vessels that have significantly strengthened the Mekong’s position as one of the top five most attractive river-cruise destinations in the world.
In 2014, construction of Ana Marina began, and by 2023, the marina entered its trial operation phase.
In 2025, Ana Marina officially received its international port code, paving the way for Vietnam’s transition from luxury tourism to ultra-luxury tourism, expanding the premium product landscape and meeting the needs of high-end global travelers.
Also in 2025, Focus Travel and its partners began construction of the Mekong Romance luxury cruise ship. Expected to be launched in 2026, Mekong Romance will be the first international-standard cruise ship fully designed, built, and operated by a Vietnamese enterprise, continuing the story of remarkable journeys along the Mekong River.
After 25 years, Focus Travel has grown into one of the leading pioneers in developing Vietnam’s luxury tourism ecosystem, particularly in river cruising, ocean cruising, and marina-based resort experiences.

Strategic Milestones on the Journey Toward the Open Sea
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Focus Travel Group inaugurated its new Central Office, located inside Ana Marina Nha Trang. The newly invested and modern office reflects the company’s long-term commitment to sustainable development, positioning Nha Trang as the data and operational hub for both domestic and international tourism activities.
Focus Travel Group also announced that it has completed all procedures and received official certification of ownership for the “Ana Marina” trademark from the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam.
This not only affirms the company’s solid legal foundation for marina development but also reinforces its long-term vision and commitment to advancing high-end maritime services in Vietnam.
After two years of trial operation, Ana Marina Nha Trang—a flagship project invested in and developed by Focus Travel—was officially granted the port code “VNANA”, becoming the first and only international yacht marina in Vietnam. This is a breakthrough not only for Focus Travel Group but also for Vietnam’s emerging yachting industry, a sector widely considered to hold great potential yet previously underdeveloped.
Mr. Dang Hieu Minh, Co-owner of Focus Travel Group, stated: “The official issuance of the international port code ‘VNANA’ is a major milestone not only for Focus Travel Group but also for the entire Vietnamese yachting industry. It forms a solid foundation for us to develop international sea routes and elevate Vietnam onto the global luxury maritime tourism map.”
On this occasion, Focus Travel Group held an auction featuring several special items. All proceeds were dedicated to charitable activities. At the end of the ceremony, the company donated VND 757,000,000 to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the local community.
